Q1: Am I eligible to apply? What are the exceptional cases?
As written in the guideline, all applicants must have English language proficiency.
Applicants for assistant professor positions must have a doctorate not earlier than April 1, 2004.
But exceptional cases may be considered on individual basis.
Assumed cases for exception are the cases in which applicants had to have intervening blanks in their research for some reasons (e.g. maternity leave, etc).
However, for the associate professor position,
there is no such restriction for the date of acquisition of doctorate.
Q2: What is included in annual salary? Will there be other benefits?
Annual salary is 6,400,000yen or higher, and this includes tax and social insurance contribution.
For those who will move from outside of The Tokyo area,
there will also be initial settlement allowance which covers the travel cost,
accommodation fee and also daily allowance based on our regulations.
Q3: Do I need to submit recommendation letters?
You do not need to submit recommendation
letters at application stage. However, you are requested
to introduce 2 referees in your
application form. Please inform your referees that our selection
committee may contact them as occasion arises. |
